Set within the desert dunes outside Dubai, the Bab Al Shams Spa is a sanctuary of calm, luxury, and heritage. The lighting design embraces natural light by day and layers of soft, warm illumination by night, creating an atmosphere of stillness and restoration.

At Bab Al Shams Spa, light became a medium of wellness. It supports stillness, mindfulness, and gentle luxury while integrating sustainability seamlessly into the guest journey.
Light shapes the open-plan spaces with subtle contrasts, defining zones without barriers while enriching the textures of stone, timber, and plaster. Sustainability was central, with exclusive use of efficient LED technology, long-life fittings, and smart controls to minimise energy use. The result is lighting that feels organic, sustainable, and deeply connected to place.
